back to costumes!
... and I need something to wear to the midnight showing at our local movie theatre.

and, as an added bonus, our churche's VBS theme for this summer is something along the lines of Son (Treasure) Island. Not sure if the "treasure" is on there, but the whole thing was advertised on a treasure-like map. Either way, I'm going to assume (regardless of what everyone says about that) that VBS is going to have PIRATES in it!!!!

So after much debating (with myself) I have come up with some working sketches, and hopefully *crosses fingers* the finished outfit will turn out much better. One of the drawings is an illustration of the colors that i'm going to try and use, the other two are just more for the style.

This is going to be different from any of the other ones i've done, and probably a lot harder. I'm working on a very limited budget, and i'm not going to worry about being period correct (this is taped on my mirror and i have to repeat it to myself often). Hopefully I'll be able to find good deals on fabric ;) but ... we'll see.
